Chert gallery opened on September 6, 2008 with the group exhibition “The Lamb´s Mother in the Creche?”.
The gallery currently represents ten artists, coming from seven different countries: Alejandro Almanza Pereda (MX), Lucy Coggle (UK), Erik van der Weijde (NL), Kasia Fudakowski (UK/PL), Carla Scott Fullerton (UK), Jérémie Gindre (CH), Petrit Halilaj (KS), Hannah James (UK), Heike Kabisch (DE), Vanessa Safavi (CH).
The exhibitions program is spacing out between the solo shows of the represented artists and special projects with other international artists and group exhibitions. During the first years of its activities the gallery offered an intensive series of solo exhibitions and special projects by young international artists, most of them having their first solo presentation in Germany.
