Laure Genillard, London: 6 May – 24 June 2017
Thursday 25 May late opening: 6-8pm
Artists’ talks from 7pm
Curator Paul Carey-Kent and the artists will be present to discuss the show, and from 7pm each of the seven artists will take turns to talk informally about a subject related to their practice for 5 minutes.
All are welcome.
The High Low Show, curated by Paul Carey-Kent, is a site-responsive adventure in contrasts and connections. Each of seven artists will have one work upstairs and one downstairs in Laure Genillard’s distinctively divided space. Each artist’s works will operate between registers of high and low, eg altitude, viewpoint, mood, form or cultural register. Other relationships will also emerge across the ‘total up’ and ‘total down’, generating many routes around a multimedia show featuring Susan Collis, Sara Haq, Julie Verhoeven, Tom Lovelace, Sarah Roberts, Kate MccGwire and Bronwen Buckeridge.
