Czech Centre London: Czech Season in Scotland, 20 July – 5 November 2017

Czech Centre London.

After nearly 10 years of bringing the best of Czech live performance to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, we decided that in 2017 it’s time to create a wider programme with even more partnerships with Scottish art organizations through a whole season of exhibitions and live art.

The Czech Season in Scotland highlights include: a touring pop-up installation Poetry Periscope, live music at the Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival, six shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, including three Herald Angel-winning companies, three photo-exhibitions in Glasgow, and two vast installations combining light, sound and architecture for Sonica festival.

“We see so much talent coming from the Czech Republic and it’s our passion and privilege to present it to new audience all around the UK. Working in Scotland is a particular pleasure, as we love the region and this special season allows us to explore it together with the Czech artists, introducing them to its vibrant cultural scene, beautiful landscape and our wonderful Scottish colleagues and partners.”

Director of the Czech Centre Tereza Porybná
