BREATHLESS: The Essence of Glass

Breathless is a live presentation of glassmaking and its fundamental processes and materials. Glass designers Dechem and design collective Okolo will offer an insider’s perspective on the intricacies of glass-making and installing a mobile glass furnace. Designers as well as the public are invited to take part in a series of on-site experiments and workshops. More info

The final stop of MAK! UK Tour will be the Old Print Works in Birmingham. Together with the local community MAK will bring to life this beautiful old industrial space, build cinema rooms and two new bars and transform the space into a one-day film and arts festival. Opening as part of the 2016 London Design Festival, Roca Gallery’s latest exhibition explores a new communal bathing culture through the work of contemporary architects and designers. The exhibition features work by Czech architectural studio H3T known for their ‘pop-up’ saunas, which have been suspended from a bridge and placed in the middle of a lake. More info

The latest in a series of exhibitions within a multidisciplinary project, The Games Europe Plays takes place as part of the prestigious and change-inspiring FutureFest. The Czech Republic is represented by Ivor Diosi, an artist of Slovak origin working in Prague and known as a technological wizard. Diosi works at the intersection of science, new technologies, video games, bio-art and virtual and hybrid entities. More info
